Hi there! First and foremost I am a mommy to two beautiful little ones. I am the founder of Calditos, and I am so excited to bring healthy yet delicious recipes to you, as a healthy and sustainable way to enjoy home made traditional caldos and broths. My fondest memories in my adulthood have been calling my mom and asking her what “that one” recipe is to my favorite dish that she makes (insert all the dishes she makes here) and always finding a way to make it to a healthy dish. I hope they warm your heart and soul as they have mine all these years.

Growing up watching my mom cook always amazed me - that such a little lady can have so much magic in her hands. I’ve always dreamed of being half the woman my mom is, so one of the first steps to get there was trying to replicate all her amazing recipes. Now as an adult (and a mother myself) I can finally cook next to my best friend and follow in her footsteps. Our favorite chef and Nana to our babies, my mother with decades of experience cooking traditional comida casera (she invented “hay frijoles en la casa”), brings the flavors of Comala, Colima right to you. Her top hits will always be menudo blanco, caldito de res and that famous caldo de vegetales she makes with the melted cheese. We’re excited to share the joy she gives us with her meals!

With 15 years in the industry, and 13 years in restaurant leadership experience, Jonathan brings a wealth of knowledge to Calditos. Our biggest cheerleader and biggest fan of my mother’s cooking, Jonathan comes with the logistics and brains in order to bring you safe, healthy and nutritious meals.
