Our Story

It begins with a love story - an impromptu first trip to New York - and finding an amazing hole in the wall where they only sell BROTH.

During the height of the pandemic, we sat down and began the creative process of writing down all the things we have always wanted to do. For Jon, it’s open a restaurant and café, for me it was to make sure my mom and grandmother’s recipes will never be forgotten.

Calditos came from our shared love of hearty, traditional Mexican food that our mothers would make. For me, it’s always a caldo de res, o de vegetales on a hot summer day. It’s drinking the broth at the end to warm up and feel better if I have a cold, it’s the healthy feeling I get knowing I am getting all the good stuff for my hair and nails from the collagen in those Calditos.

Here at Calditos, we are bringing organic, traditional, healthy - yet flavorful broth, with recipes like Caldo de Res, Caldo de Pollo, Albondigas, Caldo de Vegetales, and more.
